Info & Listings On the north bank of the Guadalupe River lies Ingram. Founded in 1883 by J.C.W. Ingram, the town is a quaint riverside oasis. After a horrendous flood, a new part of town was built in 1936. The business buildings of the old part of town have been reclaimed by art galleries, antique shops, boutiques and restaurants. Ingram has a thriving arts scene, thanks to the establishment of the Hill Country Arts Foundation in 1958. The foundation offers art classes and theater for amateurs and professionals. For a dose of high culture in the middle of Hill Country, nothing beats Ingram. |
